Strong Island Ale Launch – Dry Dock No.1

It’s that time ladies and gentlemen! The 2nd Strong Island Ale is available in pubs across the city from this weekend onwards and to mark it what better way than to have a jolly up and sink a few pints of it. Dry Dock No.1 Pale Ale was the winner of the Strong Island home brew competition back in February and the winning recipe has now been brewed by Irving & Co. brewers. The launch is at 7pm Thursday 10th May in The Belle Isle, Southsea. Dry Dock No.1 will also be available in our Chichester restaurant.

Discount Card Keyfobs – Now Available

We now have Belle Isle discount card keyfobs for our customers. The card will entitle you to selected discounts throughout the year as well as having a top-up function so you can add credit to your account as a pre-pay system. It’s easy to use, just pop into either our Southsea or Chichester branches to pick up a card and register.

Belle Isle Chichester – Now Open!

As you may or may not be aware The Belle Isle has taken on a new site in Chichester. We are situated at 31-32 Chapel Street running just off West Street which is where you will find Chichester Cathedral. Being centrally located we are a perfect stop off for something to eat to break up your shopping day or great for an evening out also.

The laid back, friendly vision of the Belle Isle is that anything goes for a leisurely food or dining experience. You can pop in for a coffee (free with a discount card) or a glass of wine and while away the day using the free wifi and sampling different nibbles from the menu.

For the full dining experience the Belle Isle menu has been designed by well travelled, experienced staff. It is full of dishes from around the world as well as some home grown pub food favourites. All the produce is fresh and locally sourced. There are nacho & burrito deals during the week and kids eat free deals during some of the holiday periods (full baby changing facilities & high chairs provided). The Belle Isle staff make sure there is something for everyone day or night.

New Year, New Belle Isle Roast

For the new year we have a new look Sunday roast at The Belle Isle. We are now serving a more traditional roast beef or roast chicken with carrot and swede mash, cauliflower cheese, green vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. The vegetarian option is mushroom, cranberry and walnut wellington.

Local Artists Wanted

As a lot of you are aware we are soon to be opening a Belle Isle in Chichester. We are looking for local businesses & artists to get involved with a project that will benefit both ourselves and themselves together.

Started in Southsea in 2010 we approached local businesses and artists with a view to them designing and placing artwork onto seating we made to look like an old shipping crate. This is a great way for them to advertise their own business as well as us having a well decorated installation with artwork. We find it has also built a good relationship between the local businesses and ourselves.

Would this be something that you’re business would get involved in? Or do you feel it could benefit you in any way? Or would you simply like the opportunity to take on such a project?

All artwork/logos that are displayed at The Belle Isle will include the names and contact details of the business or artist so that when the public are enjoying the restaurant they will be reminded of the great places and works of Chichester.
